"Taves is an Atlantan artist exploring their heritage in musical depth. Their eponymous Lo-Fi electronic project includes influences ranging from Dance to Jazz vocals. Most notably DnB, House and Miami Bass has informed their beat compositions in hopes of piecing together their background lost to generational trauma.

Their EP ‘’ is an homage to the femmes in their family. It touches on those who’ve both impacted their life and suffered under failing systems to the point of their demise. This work is a part of their effort to process many tragic events from their youth. They use elements of R&B, Jazz and EDM to communicate their pain in a way that gets the audience both moving and reflecting on the dance floor. "
